Motichoor ladoo is one sweet which is an integral part of the Indian desserts. Motichoor ladoo are mainly used in pujas, festivals like Diwali, Holi and any auspicious occasion. Motichoor Ladoo has become an intrinsic part of every Indian festivity. So, here is a recipe of one of the most loved sweets in our country:

Ingredients:

  1. Gram flour – 2 Cups
  2. Sugar – 2 Cups
  3. Cashews – 2 tbls
  4. Raisins – 1 tbls
  5. Cardamom – 2-3 pods
  6. Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
  7. Ghee – 3 tbls
  8. Oil – for frying

Method:

  • Heat a heavy bottomed vessel. Add sugar to it and after it melts and little water to it and make a thick sugar syrup.
  • Add powdered cardamom to it and set aside. Sieve gram flour/besan with the baking soda. Mix will water to from a smooth paste without any lumps.
  • Heat oil add ghee to it and pour the besan mixture into a boondi sieve. Remove when it just starts to crispen. Add fried cashews and raisins add everything to the sugar syrup and mix well.
  • Rub oil on your hands and make balls of Laddos with your palms and the motichoor ladoo is ready to serve.
