Nayagarh: Even as the Kandhamal conjoined twins, Jaga-Balia, have been separated after through a critical operation conducted at the AIIMS a month back and their health condition is still a topic discussion, a woman gave birth to another conjoined twin at bellies in Nayagarh on Friday.
According reports, one Sumitra Dutta, wife of Kishore Dutta, of Khalipatana village under Sarankula police limits in the district was admitted to a private hospital after she got labour pain on Friday morning.
Later in the afternoon, she gave birth to twin girls who were joined at bellies.
Reportedly, the conditions of the newborn twins are stated to be stable. However the girls have been shifted to Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack for better treatment.
Meanwhile, the father of the baby has sought financial help from the State Government for further treatment so that his daughters can have a normal life.
