Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani on Thursday interacted with nearly 50,000 women beneficiaries of Ujjwala LPG scheme of Odisha through videoconferencing from New Delhi.

Special arrangements were made in districts where the women shared their views with the Ministers. The beneficiary women had acknowledged how the scheme helped them and the changes it brought to their lives giving them a quality life.

Earlier on January 24, Pradhan and Union Women and Child Welfare Minister Maneka Gandhi interacted with around 50,000 beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme in 30 districts of Odisha.

Notably, the Union Government has set a target to video chat with six crore beneficiaries of the Ujjwala LPG scheme under the Ujjwala Swabhiman Utsav, where Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other Ministers will interact with the families through video conferencing.

The first such programme took place on January 24, when Pradhan and Union Women and Child Welfare Minister Maneka Gandhi interacted with around 50,000 beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme in 30 districts of Odisha through video conferencing from Delhi.
