Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Government Railway Police (GRP) today arrested the youth who had allegedly attacked his girlfriend with a knife at the Jharsuguda railway station late on Wednesday night.

The accused youth has been identified Dillip Das.

According to reports, on November 15, Das had fled from Jhasuguda railway station after injuring the girl. The GRP arrested Das from Raigarh in Chhattisgarh.

The girl had sustained critical injury on neck and was rushed to the Jhasuguda District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) by the GRP.

Reportedly, the girl and her boyfriend Dillip had eloped from their village seven months back and stayed in Jammu and Kashmir. But they reached the Jharsuguda railway station Wednesday night on their way back home.  Dillip offered some drink to the girl which she didn’t accept. Then he attacked her with a knife and fled from the spot. She was pregnant, according to reports.
